She could have the same climate west of the Cascades in the Pacific Northwest. All the wet and cold you could ask for…
    .
When I worked in the Willamette valley, I used a dehumidifier. Turned it on every morning before going to work. Much of the time the two gallon tank was full and it had shut off when I returned.
    .
Mold city. Potatoes would turn black from mold in a week if not refrigerated, even in a “dry” cabinet.

I visited Portland a number of times on business. Luckily, summer was on a Thursday one year when I happened to be be there and a colleague and I spent a very enjoyable evening sailing his yacht up and down The Columbia.

Other than that … lots of good old “Oregon Sunshine” (aka. rain).

Lived in the Willamette Valley for 35 years and never had to use a dehumidifier. Were you living in a cargo container? You don’t know what genuine green is until you’ve been to western Oregon. That said, I do prefer it over on the dry side.
