    They listened to me and went for latex…assuming the hose doesn’t lead to a 55-gallon drum of mineral spirits.

    Watch: someone will come up behind the three and will complain about the sewer (which goes to the sewage plant and thus primary, secondary and usually tertiary treatment) going to the streams…
    In a few places it would actually be true. Ashland, Oregon, that paragon of environmental virtue, despite finally being ordered by the State of Oregon to replace their leaking sewage plant after many years of poisoning Bear Creek, didn’t do a complete job and their storm sewers still go to Ashland Creek. They must really hate their local creek, after sewage for at least a decade and they still dump gook in it.

    Why are kids so stupid?

    Kids are not stupid. They just don’t have the experiences adults have, and adults get those experiences by doing the same things when they were kids.

    @Stella S

    Experience is nothing more than a dog chasing its tail because that’s what it knows.

    You ask why kids are stupid when the entire human race is busy trashing the only planet in our solar system that can support life?

    As noted above, and it’s true in Philly – storm drains do go right to the river. They’re labeled as such.
    Latex, yeah – I was wondering if they’d have to have their heads shaved! Their clothes are ruined, in any case. Guess Mrs. A figured this was better than having them standing out there naked, which is what I might have done. They probably got paint all over the clothes anyway!
