    if grandma takes away every thing then the kids will pester her all day. Caving in is better choice

    I must be so old!
    I remember being made to go and cut a switch from a bush outside so my grandmother could beat me with it.

    I was also the only one who washed dishes, vaccuumed all of the fully carpeted house (even the bathroom!), and I didn’t have a “room” of my own to clean. I slept on the pull out couch in the living room.

    As quick as I could, I left there and joined the military.
    Retired, too.
