As a teacher myself, I confess to having fallen asleep while standing up, addressing the class. It’s only happened when the class has been REALLY slow to grasp what I was trying to teach them.

If it was public school, that must have been just about everyday of the year.

I was reading Dr. Seuss’s Sleep Book to a class of first graders once, and dozed off. The kids didn’t notice because they had dozed off, too!

I have relatives who are/were teachers, one was a principal.
I can’t imagine being a teacher. I have no patience and I’m short tempered, the first kid that mouthed off would get pounded and you can’t do that (at least not anymore).

Try eating healthy, whole foods like Dr. Oz espouses. Vegitables and whole grains will get the blood flowing and oxygen coursing through your system. The kids are zoned out on sugar so they could have learning difficulties from that.

With the members of his class, Mr. D doesn’t dare risking falling asleep.
