Grand Avenue stars Kate Macfarlane, an avid sports fan who powerwalks to stay in shape. Not your typical cookie-baking granny, Grandma Kate has her hands full with her terrific twosome, who are best buddies even though their personalities clash. Gabby is an ambitious, newspaper-reading little girl who plans to become a billionaire before she's 30. Her brother Michael is a more sensitive soul who prefers riding his skateboard or performing scenes from Shakespeare to just about anything else.

Flick, off goes the TV and it stays off until he does his job and apologizes to his grandmother.

Step one: unplug power cord from outlet.
Step two: take scissors and snip cord halfway between plug & TV (halfway so that it can be mended in the future)

The dog should alert them if he is hungry. That’s what dogs do.

Hey, some parents “forget” to feed their kids and no one thinks anything of it. So this means dogs are more important than children.

You’ve got to ask yourself, are some people “dog lovers” or are they really people haters? They see themselves as big dog lovers when their dogs let loose on lawns or public areas and they don’t pick it up. Or their dogs bite others and they think it’s justified. Look at the hostility in the above comments. We’ve got some people haters here.

Good point.

No people haters. Just some wrong ideas on how to teach kids responsibility. You take in an animal and you are responsible for it’s well-being. If you can’t do it, then find it a good home. But letting animals suffer is cruelty just as it is cruelty to mistreat your children. In SOME cases, people who mistreat animals, carry it over to people.
