    Give Slim a break. Hunger has affected his brain. It was probably the drier that he put the dishes in. What a mess.

    I guess in all his years of marriage, he’s never helped Clovia wash the dishes.

    In the washing machine. Probably the only thing he did right.

    @omegasupreme

    Even Slim would have sense enough not to make political comments in a comic strip forum.

    We tried someone of Slim’s intelligence for eight years. He nearly started another great depression.

    No. Clinton was brilliant. Trouble was, he was brilliant in a bad way. A Machiavellian type/. We’re still dealing with the fallout from those years. An 80% reduction in infrastructure, with the money funneled into vote-buying. Roads, bridges, pipes, ports, electrical systems, etc are all getting old. Free trade, which has idled more than half of the American work force (more than 90 million this month, bureau of labor). The Northwest Forest Plan, which could never deliver on its promises because they were based on inflated numbers. Most Federal employees don’t meet the basic qualifications for their offices because of the change in 1993. We didn’t get here overnight. It took about 20 years for the policies of the 103rd Congress+Clinton to really tear things up.

    .There was a brief improvement during the Bush Administration, but then OPEC tripled the price of oil. Down went every economy.
    .
    People like to blame Obama, but what he did was to take a recession and make a second Great Depression out of it. With 50+% of workers out of work vs. 22% in the Depression, it bugs me that no one will come out and actually say how bad it is. It’s always “recovery” when the base numbers keep getting worse.
