   The same pastors who say that usually endorse tithing, vs. giving from the heart. Tithing is a duty under the mosaic law. Giving from the goodness of your heart is a new testament idea.

   The Torah also uses the phrase “willing heart” when it refers to gifts made during the construction of the tabernacle in the desert.

    Not really…this is a fantasy that came from the mind of Scancarelli and a good one. He portrays these people in his own way. I happen to think he is making Slim and Clovia to appear as dingbats.

    They are against being taxed but gladly accept their own tax called a tithe.

    A tithe is not a tax. The tither believes that he is joyfully offering back to God the first fruits. Giving to the government is giving to the government.
