You just ratted out Slim, pastor. It won’t do Slim any good to donate NOW — the IRS is calling about LAST YEARS return, and you just told them that he did not donate the money.

this will come back to haunt Slim if he decides to run for President…

Does the IRS scrutinize the tax returns of the 1% as thoroughly as they do the “little guy”??

This will haunt Slim now if he doesn’t pay that money he doesn’t have.

I think it’s great when someone voluntarily gives more to charity than they do to the IRS.

Is this the reason why Slim & Clovia live in a rental and can’t afford a car?

I’ve been reading this strip for about a year and must say I’m pretty disappointed with Scancarelli’s work. This strip seems to be mainly about Clovia and Slim who are portrayed as a couple of buffoons for cheap laughs. I just bought the Gasoline Alley 1964-1966 book when the strip transitioned from creator Frank King to Dick Moores. It’s interesting to see Clovia as a junior high student (!) but the strip seemed to focus on nobody in particular. There might be a story about Skeezix, or Chipper, or Gideon, or Corky, or Walt (remember him?) with appearances by a bunch of other characters. I’m just curious – what characters are still active in Gasoline Alley? Certainly Clovia, Slim, Joel, Rufus and, I guess, Skeezix and Walt (who really should be dead at 125). Is there anybody else still around?
