They will make their own worst nightmare. That it will be almost impossible for a Republican to become the next president. Thus leaving Hillery Clinton (if she rund, which is looking more and more like it) as the next POTUS, whether they like it or not!
This is because, in order to become the Republican nominee any Republican must run that gauntlet of the extreme ultra conservative tea party types in the red states of the Mid West and Southern States. And thus, in order to obtain the naomination, become a flaming conservative. But that is neither where the greatest population of Americans exist in this country, nor is it where most Americans stand politically. Most Americans exist on the relatively moderate (if not liberal) states, and any candidate for POTUS of this country MUST win there, or like Mitt Romney, just not make it.
So then, the Republcian nominee must back track towards the middle of the political spectrum (just as Romney did). And when he/she does that they become a “Flip-Flopper” anathma to their base (just as Romney also did), and so lose the general election. And that people, (right, left, or otherwise) is the current truth of American politics. And NO amount of funding on either side is going to change it. So, enjoy the ride!!
