    The vacuum too many of our politicians live in is stupendous.

    Am I wrong, or did Mr. Obama already compromise on the ACA? I believe the original idea was a one payer system, like they have in civilized countries. Now being asked to compromise on the compromise? I am so tired of these right wing tantrums!

    Extremists seldom see themselves as such; they think they’re the rational ones. Typically it’s the job of the moderates to show them how extreme they are.
    Unfortunately, one political party has chosen to use their extremists as a weapon, unconcerned about such trivial things as blowback or collateral damage.

    Your right on the first point but $16 trill comment was not violent, just sarcastic. He said shoot in to space not shoot.

    Self Righteous isn’t the answer either and in the end running up the debt had little to do with violence. We would still get here if there was no wars at all, it would just take longer.

    Republicans aren’t actually seeking a compromise: they’re trying to force Obama into giving ground while they give up nothing, as they already support funding the government. But even if Obama did try to negotiate, that’s no guarantee the House Republicans would respond rationally. We know this because the one of the last times Obama negotiated with Republicans during a fiscal crisis, the so-called “fiscal cliff,” he offered real concessions and compromises and John Boehner and the House Republicans still refused to work with him.

    USA? That label should say GOP.

    @Radish

    Personally I don’t see anything wrong with funding the government and not the ACA. The ACA is a punitive tax on the middle class, that same middle class that has been decimated by the last recession and has not recovered in this very anemic “recovery”.

    Except it is the House that has been holding up things and not voting and demanding changing the law at the point of a gun like any terrorist.

    @Kevin Robinson

    So far it has only been the Senate and the Democrats giving things way to the extremists. The ones you like. So far the TPR’s do not compromise.
