Millions saw him win seven times. Untold numbers are alive because of his foundation. Armstrong’s name will be remembered for generations.
Travis tygard accomplished…what? Oh yeah, he set back cancer research. Only his mother will remember his name, and she will probably deny it.

Not sure I really care! There’s more going on around here (U.S.) that is far more important!

Don’t know Travis, but I agree with the rest of you post. I just hope Armstrong isn’t remember for causing the collapse of Livestrong.
@ King of Me – I’m calling for a Honey Boo Boo/Kardashian ban. It makes my brain bleed.

Well if people would stop talking about them they might be forgotten here.

With the latest pharmaceutical research we could be doping up to for school, work and war. Just imagine memory drugs, muscle drugs, stamina drugs but none can be used in sports. Where is the logic in that. At least Futurama addressed that a few times.

Promise, I’m done with them, I just keep seeing the references. Thank you for being one of the sane. :)
Relatively speaking

What I’m puzzled about is why he was able to compete for so long despite multiple drug tests and I presume being declared drug free. Does this mean there was complicity somewhere along the way?

It’s not winning if you’re cheating.

Read up on the details of his conviction by the sports authorities.
It is being called “the largest organized sporting drug abuse discovered” leading me to believe,

Nicole Cooke, a female cyclist, world champion and winner of the women’s Tour de France twice, begs to differ.
She would like to see Armstrong in jail.

What an incredible, serious national tragedy we have here. I seriously hope that the nation will recover from it in due time and be able to focus its attention on some of those lesser problems.

no not even then.

I’m ashamed to admit I didn’t know there was a women’s tour de france. Excellent link, thank you omQ R.
Still want to see the Livestrong Foundation live tho.

Love your “tongue in cheek!” Really, in the whole scheme of the world situation, this story and Manti’s are interesting, but that’s it, interesting yes, but that’s about it!

@Respectful Troll
You’re welcome. The Livestrong Foundation is about the only redeeming feature of his lies. Although I now suspect it was established more as a narcissistic venture than an altruistic one. Meh, sometimes good things are built atop lies. Hopefully it can continue.
