"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

Wow, Grace, it stinks to have fewer nostrils than one of the kids in Family Circus

Would that be his ‘private eye’? Grace, it’s lovely to see you back again.

Not only is the current avatar a more accurate example of the strip, but Teresa hasn’t used the so-called face of Frog Applause in years. It’s all about Vlad now.

That’s the girl from the Munsters, right?

@Sack of Rabid Weasels
You’re not a regular reader. You’re a troll as best I can remember. Your opinion doesn’t count for much.

You don’t know Dick.

@Commentator
The origins of Grace are revealed somewhere in the beginning of the blog. Grace the Face was based on a actual young girl born in the 1800s.
As for the Munsters… I think you means the Addams Family and Wednesday Friday Addams.

I found it. The real Grace the Face.

I always thought Dick Tracy was at the very least a sergeant. If true, he had no private parts. Maybe that’s why he always looked angry (and Tess looked so frustrated!).
