"Frog Applause reminds one of learning to read, in the sense that each word in the captions seems 'surprising' and new. Teresa's writing takes one back to that fresh state of mind (typical of, but of course not limited to, childhood) in which the brain, free of preconceptions, doesn't 'fill in' any blind spots along the way but rather wholly embraces the present moment as it unfolds. Every sentence is literally an imagination-expanding adventure." — Craig Conley, author of One-Letter Words: A Dictionary (HarperCollins)

Well, if you really give it some thought, that’s not such a big deal, taking off glasses, now is it? Taking off the moustachio would really be meaningful, don’t you think?
Are you in agreement, Linguist ? Judging by your avatar, you would be in a position to know, although admittedly you might not be in a position to speak to taking off glasses.

Taking off my glasses is not a problem. I do it all the time. But… in all of my adult life, I have only shaved my handlebar mustache off twice. Once when I went into the Army, and again in 1996 for charity, when I lost a bet.
