OK, let’s go with the stereotype.
There is truth in it. As with most stereotypes it is based on a generalization that is generally true.
Men don’t ask for directions because their spatial skills are far superior to women’s.
Before someone says, “my aunt is a geometry teacher”, or “I’m a female engineer” that’s not how statistics work.
It is politically ok to say women are better than men at X, but categorically wrong to say out loud that men are better at Y. Face it: the sexes are statistically different & each would be wise to lean on the other to compensate for the weakness.
