Why doesn’t she just make him a “Student Teaching Assistant” and get that energy and creativity on HER side?

“Our Boy” will NEVER lack for amusement at the absurdity of the World around him. I just hope that the ongoing, relentless, inanity of it all doesn’t break his spirit.

What’s the joke here? I mean, I get that Caulfield is plotting a forgery to avoid work and that Mrs. Olsen is onto him. I get the use of quotation marks. But I feel I’m not getting something.

Creative writing and math are subjects I didn’t see until college. Most of my time in public school was spent dawdling until gym class and sports.

Potrzebie: Jack Strange? I had him for Abnormal Psychology. His textbook on the subject came out a year later, and was used as a sight gag on I Love Lucy. He claimed that he wanted “Here lies a sane psychologist” on his tombstone and people would say, “That’s Strange”, but they went for more dignity instead.
