Can keep you from looking like a fool in the future, if you can actually learn.

I do rather agree with @kieth kunz. Wince and move on. Wonder what the stuff is in “leaves and stuff”. A Sasquatch perhaps?

…and as those of us who despise “smooth jazz” have noted, “New Age” rhymes with “sewage.”

By the way, is this strip a repeat? I could swear I saw this gag in one of the Frazz books…

Grammer police? I think she’s a spelling cop. Nothing wrong with that. Except that it won’t make you any friends with the low-brow demographic.

I thought she said it on purpose. The trip probably foiled her original plans for the weekend.

As the potato said after being wrapped in shiny aluminum before being put in to the oven: “Curses, foiled again!”

Correcting people in public is bad? What are teachers supposed to do when a child makes a mistake in front of the whole class? Or the same child is out with parents and does something VERY wrong? Are they to allow the behavior to continue until an ‘appropriate’ time at some unforeseen time in the future? NO. Correct IMMEDIATELY when the problem is detected! Then drop it. Don’t harp on it, just continue on. It gives the person time to think about it without being focused on. If the behavior continues, it’s not a new one, and it’s ingrained. You should have paid them more attention before then.

Um. We’re not in school anymore. And we have the freedom to say anything and say or write it in any form we wish. Grammar police need to get a life. Rude people will always exist. Ignore them.
