    is the road less traveled the one that has homework or the one without homework?

    Actually, this is Caufield, so it may actually be more work. He avoids work he doesn’t feel like doing, but he can work incredibly hard on his own projects….

    @Varnes

    Kind of like Calvin. He will spend hours building his snowmen, but won’t spend 10 minutes doing his homework.

    It’s only work if you’d rather be doing something else.

    10 minutes doing homework? In this day and age you are lucky if you have less than 2 hours of homework. More likely you have 4 – 5 hours of homework. And then you wonder why kids do not want to do the homework.

    to quote James McMurtry (who probably got it from someone else…etc…etc..) “If you liked what your doing it wouldn’t be work…”

    You CAN edit your past. The trouble is, there is always someone with the unabridged version.

    Personally I found homework a pain and unnecessary. So my homework tended to be rushed and looked it. Didn’t do well in any classes I found boring or useless. But then I wasn’t a model student either. Didn’t fit in.

    Editing your past sounds a lot like lying.

    @Wabbit: Even if what you say is the total truth (as you remember it), you can still not tell everything, so I guess that is lying by omission.
