    Maybe we here in Asia should be sending our food to American children. At least the American kids will eat healthier food and maybe lose a little weight.

    “Mysterious brown paste” sounds like Marmite, or if they’re lucky, miso. Miso can be quite good. Apple butter could also be a “mysterious brown paste.”
    I don’t think I’ve seen anything like the other two that was edible though. “Slimy green balls” sounds like algae, but not the kind people eat. I suppose “quivering white blobs” could be some sort of eggs, though if they were normal eggs Peter would probably recognize them.
