Errors by the author don’t count as defective.

Nine years ago? That would make Jason about two or three! Reading comics at three…pretty good!

Such errors would count to a comics weenie.

That was my initial thought as well, but Jason could have read a back issue. (Do true comics aficionados read back issues, or do they only read them the moment they come out? Surely a fan would buy old issues if they could afford them, right? I don’t know the etiquette in their world.)

I read this book from cover to cover, but I didn’t like it, can I return it? It’s like eating 90% of your meal at a restaurant, then saying the food was terrible and refusing to pay for it. Not ethical.

Those mistakes are often explained by the ubiquitous “Literary License”.

Maybe Jason knows about the error thanks to the Internet.
From what I’ve gathered, comic books have the worst writing of any medium this side of fanfic.

Granted, there are some bad comic writers out there, but overall, there are some great ones who do great work. Max Allan Collins,Alan Moore and Peter David come to mind. Read their work and tell me they suck. And as far as fanfic goes, yes, there’s bad writing there, too. However, there’s more bad than good there.I’ve read some fanfic that could run circles around what comes out of Hollywood! Just gotta pick a genre and suss out the wheat from the chaff. I have a few favorites in that world myself.
