has everyone forgotten that you can still use he TV (or cable box) to change the channel? I used to be the remote control when I was a kid. Dad didn’t have to get out of the chair then either.

That’s what DVRs are for these days.

Why don’t they just TiVo one of there shows and watch it later? Also, do they only have one TV? What is this, the 50s?

You, too. Back when you actually did turn the dial to change to one of the other 3 channels?

I think the date on the strip says 2002, but yes, most people didn’t have Tivo yet. And Andy seems like the kind of mom who wouldn’t allow the kids to have TVs in their bedrooms. Today of course they’d just watch everything online.

I’m grateful to Comcast. They finally scrambled even the local TV channels I got on my limited basic cable subscription. This motivated me to try an antenna and the local broadcast digital channels. Turns out—I don’t need cable anymore!

It’s a miracle that their kids haven’t killed each other yet.
