I’ve never liked the excuse of panel 2. Explain to Paige that she’s too young to go on her own, that they don’t have the money, etc. Be straight up with her.

counterpoint to the cliff argument: if I polled people who jumped off cliffs and got 100% feedback that the act was enjoyable and knew the technique, then I would conclude the act was safe and indeed give it a shot.
