    How long ago was this strip originally published? Google might have been in its infancy.

    1999 according to the copyright. Google wasn’t very popular back then. It was just getting out of its Stanford project phase. He most likely would use Yahoo or Ask Jeeves. Or possibly Lycos or AltaVista or Webcrawler.

    Sam & Ella have moved into the chicken – ah! finally new characters in Foxtrot. Maybe Amend will change the name of the strip to “Trots” in the interest of brevity.
