    Speaking as a Network Engineer, it always aggravates me when people who doesn’t actually understand what the Internet is, let alone how it functions; nonetheless insist on opining on it. As a minimum requirement, none who doesn’t have a solid grasp on BGP (Both of them) doesn’t know enough to have an opinion on the subject.

    Ordinary people who have brains of their own seem to intuitively know that they aren’t brain surgeons; but knowing what LOLCATS means seems to convince people that they are network engineers every day.

    And POLITICIANS are the worst.

    I can promise you this…

    No matter WHAT nonsense any individual company or group of companies try to pull in order to increase their profits; their efforts quickly become moot. Just as the internet routes around censorship, it also self-heals from attempts to “own” it.

    But the SECOND you allow government to stick it’s big, clumsy meat-hooks into the daily operations of what is actually privately property; you can kiss the Free and Open internet good bye.

    Net neutrality is not an issue that affects any real person – this is merely Google vs Comcast. Google wants “net neutrality” to preserve its profits, and Comcast thinks Google should subsidize the costs of the increasing usage.

    Net neutrality? Level playing field? Tell that to the censor nazis at huffpost who make a regular practice of censoring those that don’t fall in line with their liberal nonsense.

    @exoticdoc2

    At least Huff Post ADMITS it’s a blog that shows bias towards one political party, unlike Fox, who claims to be “Fair an Balanced” while clearly being biased towards the GOP.
