I am glad to see Elly has cooking gear in her hands to sell. It’s not like she needs that stuff anyway.

Keep the pants on. She could get arrested for selling John’s “junk.”

I thought the main purpose ofr a yard sale was to sell until everything was gone. When everything has been sold, or when people have stopped coming by,. you close up shop.

Does anybody realize how much it will cost Ellie and hubby to replace all the “junk” they just gave away but use?

Why is she the one who has to give up more stuff she may actually need? It’s not like she’s making one cent from the sale. They’re lucky they’ve sold so much so yeah, close up shop early.

My mom is an avid cookie jar collector – one year while on our annual summer trip we stopped at a garage sale. She asked the woman if she had any cookie jars for sale. The woman told mom to wait a moment and ran into the house. Mom bought the cookie jar and we continued on our trip enjoying the “thrown in” homemade cookies. :-) It probably helped that I am one of six siblings so she knew the cookies would not be wasted.

I always had my sales from 8 till 2 and then put it away or if it was the last day, then called Goodwill or whoever to come get the rest.
