You can do both now. I’ve seen it on TV.

It does help to at least have a boyfriend. It takes a fair amount of cash to have babies without a man

You can tell this cartoon was penned decades ago! I’m 70, and used to think this way. Now, no one I know says anything like this. And we all know single parents, many of whom have never been married, and are doing great.

Truth is, MOST single never-married women are NOT mothers yet. But, I do know a few single parents (male and female) and some are struggling with finances, time management, stress, etc. that would otherwise be shared in a two-parent relationship. In fact, some have the child first then find that they need help so this prompts the single parent to marry practically the first person that comes along. Too many people think primarily about themselves throughout life. They want to have a family “on their own” but this is not usually the best environment for the child.

No need to be married to be a mother these days. The government has replaced fathers.

I’m pretty sure no one has become pregnant after being screwed by the government, so someone else must be the father!

If being screwed by the government made babies, every one of us would have ’em.

Kids are a lot of responsibility and effort. They are also worth every bit of both.

… so someone else must be the father!

Say “Male Parental Unit” or, at worst, “Sperm Donor”. There are way too many absentee fathers out there.

Marraige takes 2 people working hard to make the other happy every day to be a success. Kids really need a good role model for both a male and a female parent to be great parents themselves.

The absolute best thing a Daddy can do for his kids is to love their Mommy!

Hmm, I’d think the best thing any parent can do for their kids, is love their kids. The second best thing they can do is actually spend time with their kids, hopefully teaching them how to become good, happy, productive people.

If the parents love one another, that’s generally a good thing too. But, there are some “parents” who seem to regard their kids as distractions from their grown up lives. Their are some parents who did their kids a favor by not staying married as well.
