F Minus is a profoundly funny comic strip that was chosen by more than 200,000 college students as the winner of the "mtvU Strips" contest. Providing daily hilarity since May 2005, F Minus is a strip short on life lessons, precious moments, and pearls of wisdom. Instead, it tackles life's serious issues, pins them to the ground and steals their lunch money. Then it feels a little bit guilty and gives some of it back.

This idea wouldn’t have worked with the Spiderman movies — the second one was the best of the lot.

Haha! I am truly surprised that this has not been tried by a real movie house. It sounds so much like their logic!

Starting with IV worked out pretty well.

Very true… the third one seemed forced and overdone (like a normal sequel does). With 30 minutes left in the movie, I knew there was too much they had to do to finish it properly and I was getting worried… 3 bad guys to fight and they hadn’t even introduced the 3rd by that point. The magical ending was a bit too magical and kind of ruined the movie, but an extra hour worth of story could have let it finish properly.
Granted, Spiderman was more of an exception by comparison to other movies as sequels are seldom expected and really don’t tend to be prepared for while the 3rd is by that point so they can put more into it. :-s

Yeah but when they finally got round to I II & III it fell pretty flat.

The Travelling Wilburys did it.

A fellow unclear of the concept. Many middle movies in trilogies are nicely dark. In Star Wars and Back To The Future had really good ones.

I never saw American History X because I never got around to watching the first nine.
