Phantom: Lee Falk does not look like the ghost of the aeronaut. Another delay.

    Mary Worth: More waiting.

Mark Trail: Mark never sees to learn. He hears a shot and charges in unarmed to see what happened. How many times has this occurred? Do we ever have a legal hunting season in Lost Forest?

Rex Morgan: I’m glad I’m not a patient of either Rex or June the way they cancel appointments.

REX MORGAN: One AzCentral commenter mentionned that Rex and June have only been back from San Diego for about 5 days. At that rate, How many months will it take June to have her baby?

APT3G: I wonder who the emergency is that has saved LuAnn from making another decision abouit getting married.

MARY WORTH: Don’t you think the CEO would have given Mary a clue about whether he agrees with Mary about Shannon?

Interesting comments in AzCentral about the various artists who drew Prince Valiant and how carefully they were picked by the original creator.

PHANTOM: Lee Falk makes an appearance with his signature skull-tipped walking stick and his signature breaking-the-fourth-wall comment, “For those who came in late!
APT 3-G: I am confused as to how Gov. Peter can “arrive” and then receive a call on his own land-line phone. I had assumed he had “arrived” at 3-G…am I missing something???

Y’alls comments are more interesting than the actual comics today.

A3G -. Confusion at az since it appears Peter might be back in his office. My take is that Shulock wrote “Peter answers HIS phone”, but Bolle doesn’t know about cell phones. Despite appearances, Peter is at 3G waiting for Lu Ann. Arye is right; Lu Ann is saved from making a decision now. And I’ll guess that it’s Zoey in the hospital.
Judge Parker – The suits appear to be all about debts. Not being able to pay your bills doesn’t make you a criminal. All the money has gone into the water purification project. I may be wrong and far too trusting.

3-G: Your comment makes sense – a disconnect between the writer and the artist.
J.P.: If the water purification project is a dud and the Clearings can’t pay their debts, it seems to me that cutting their losses and declaring bankruptcy would be more honorable than trying to convince friends to make personal loans that they have no ability to repay (unless Thalia and Ross keep on borrowing from new “friends”…a ponzi scheme of sorts).

JP – You make some good points. I wonder if there’s some way for Sam to find out if the kidnapping is, in fact, real. The debts might be motivation to run a scam, but if the kidnapping IS real, that’s a separate issue.

J.P.: It has been fun going back and forth over what may really be going on in this story – is it a scam? – is the kidnapping for real? In my mind’s eye I envision Ross at a villa somewhere along the Niamey Road, but just hanging out (not as a captive). As with all the comic story arcs…time will tell. :-)

REX-This book thing w/Sarah not normal for a 5yr. old, nor is
skipping school ! They can all go to their jobs & school and
discuss things at the dinner table as a whole family- (that’s
the way I was brought up)

3G- As 3G is 3 girls- we know LuAnn will make no serious
guy commitments-friends only as w/ all other storylines in the past w/Tommie & Margo.

MW- “No matter what happens you derserve it” ????
I say, I hope everything turns out well for you!!

    JP- Scammers/hustlers/deadbeats/broke ( “Clearings”)
