    Phantom: If P. doesn’t ever kill anyone, why are they all involved wars that aren’t in Africa?
    Mark Trail: Does Rusty have any brains at all, the way he is talking to the otters?
    Mary and Rex: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

    @woodworker318, I agree with you about Rex.

    MARY WORTH: Mary did choose to go to an Arizona resort in the summer and Jeff was too busy to go with her. She could have waited and chosen a more interesting place. Where she lives is sort of a resort – I would have preferred to go to a foreign country.

    JUDGE PARKER: The judge looks skeptical, but if I were he I’d be grateful for the input from someone who was a film major and has some experience in script writing. From hanging out with an English prof. friend in years past, I am aware that script writing is quite different than book writing. Prof. friend read a play written by an acquaintance of mine and critiqued it, explaining why some scenes just wouldn’t “work” on stage (or film). As to Alan, perhaps judges don’t take easily to input from others.
    MARY WORTH: Instead of going to the Southwest, I think Mary should head for Lost Forest in the Northwest, where she might meet the Trail family and strike up a relationship with Rusty’s grandpa.
    MARK TRAIL: See above MW comment.

    Most of the strips today are real yawners.
    On the suggestion of Teh, I have added classic Judge Parker, Rip Kirby and Juliet Jones to my daily list. Now I am going back and reading old stories so I can understand and recognize the characters. As of now, my only comment: Man, do Katherine & Abby look different in 1970!

    Mary Worth – Shouldn’t Toby be thinking about Ian? Would men even enjoy this spa? Will Mary get a makeover and be 20 years younger?
    Judge Parker – Wasn’t the girl in Rex Morgan a couple of stories back a film major from UCLA? I think she had dark hair though. Yes, he probably could use the help. Film stripts have to involve action, very little exposition.
    Rex – It’s dinner time. Did he ever see a patient or get the reports about Milton? It’s time for a panicky call from Heather about Milton. or something more inetersting…
    A3G – She’s going ahead with the dress fitting without talking more about who’s paying? This seems very like her relatiohship with Paul where he came to help pick out her wedding dress. Wise up, LuAnn.

    @marvee

    JP/RM: I recall Iris, the daughter of one of Rex’s patients. Her late father had left a manuscript titled, “Chasing Mildred” and Iris was off to Hollywood to write the screenplay (script).
