MARY WORTH: I’ll bet Mary will meet someone at the airport with a new story who will need Mary’s advise.

REX MORGAN: Honey should have gotten into a service profession – and I don’t mean the kind she’s in now.

APT3G: At this point the Fire inspector should be coming around to question everyone about the cause of the fire.

Rex Morgan – Good point, Arye. What does a stripper expect the guys to want?

MARK TRAIL: An unusual perspective today (the art work).
REX MORGAN: Someone over at jsonline commented that we may soon find out what happened to gun #2.
PHANTOM: Woodworker and marvee commented here yesterday that if the miners try to shoot P. with P.’s own guns, they will be shooting blanks which will reinforce the immortality concept.

Phantom: I hope this isn’t too drawn out with a philosophical
    discussion on P’s mortality.

A3G – Margo finally appreciates Greg. Now, how is Aristotle and where are the inspectors?
Rex – My thought about Honey – “Lookin’ for love in all the wrong places”. Agree with Arye today and Sweetbill’s comment yesterday.
Judge Parker – An interesting life indeed. I hope they share some of it with us.
Mary Worth – Is the man with the similar gray case important to an upcoming story, or just a coincidence? Probably the latter.
Phantom – Are they just going to wait for the lion to get hungry? The outsider seems to respect the superstition more than the native.

According to some online history, in the early days Mary Worth stories would each involve a completely different characters with Mary only appearing near the end to offer some of her wisdom. Mary is more involved now, but the stories do seem to be completly separate, while strips like Judge Parker and Rex Morgan may keep several balls in the air or on the back burner.

MARY WORTH: Mary and John seem to be saying their goodbyes right before John goes through TSA security. I didn’t catch the similarity of the gray carry-on bags and the possibility of an inadvertent “switch” going through the X-ray belt….! I am inclined to think the similarity is not just an artistic coincidence (good catch on your part!).

MW: I don’t know of many airports where the planes can be seen through a window that is not part of a departure lounge. And those are only visible to those who have already been through the TSA checkpoint. Non-passengers don’t get that far. (Although I did see a tv show where the rich boyfriend bought a ticket to anywhere in order to accompany his girlfriend to the departure lounge – I think it was Carter on ER.)
Did anyone else notice that the plane has no wings?

    gray carry-on bags
    like items colored the same
    just like the green chairs

thought I’d use haiku to draw attention to the colors used for like items in strips such as the green office chairs we saw in a recent storyline.

Enjoyed the haiku! Considering past experience with the artist and colorist on this strip, I don’t really have much hope for the plot Florchi suggested. Maybe we should write our own as is being done on Alley Oop.
