REX MORGAN: June? Old?
MARY WORTH: Yesterday’s comments were really worthwhile, but is her creator sermonizing or writing a comic book serial?
APT3G: Who is this new woman? I don’t trust Evan and the denizens of Apt3G will soon find out what kind of person he is.

PHANTOM: Devil has been wounded by the lioness. Where did P. find his pet wolf, anyway? Is the wolf native to this part of Africa??
MANDRAKE: Check out the 2nd story window, Mandrake; someone is watching…!!
MARK TRAIL: I think that’s a turtle in the surf. October is the last month of turtle nesting season here on the east coast of southern Florida (the turtles come up onto the beaches and dig a hole in which they lay their eggs) – e.g., loggerheads.

Mark Trail – I didn’t understand the picture in the last panel at first. Now I see that it’s a turtle head and a jellyfish.
Phantom – Oh, no! Is Devil going to die?
Judge Parker – Why does Sam think they have to get off of the road? Is it because he thinks he can get there faster by going across country?
Mandrake – Mandrake can be arrested for trespassing, as well as breaking and entering.
Gil Thorp – This story has bogged down.

Mark Trail – The turtle and other thing which seems to have more form than a jellyfish, appear too large even considering the perspective.
Judge Parker – They want to get down to the fields. The main road doesn’t go right through them.
Rex – June isn’t offended, just bemused.
Mary Worth – My first thought was, Oh no, more talking. But at least it’s with Jim not Mary and we find out more of his story. And it leads to some physical contact.
A3G – Arye nailed it.

The English and Spanish aren’t in sync today.
something about “clean your room” and “what (have you done) to my puppet junk”??? But why does Jason put on dark glasses before opening the door?

MT: The color is off, but otherwise the jellyfish looks a lot like the dangerous Portuguese man-of-war.

APT3G: I’ve read some comments that are sceptical of Evan’s character. Is he easy to dislike because he seems bullied by his Aunt Cathy?
MANDRAKE: good catch Florchi re panel 2. I like today’s artwork. The story about the bet I don’t like but we’re moving on to a real mystery rather than fighting street thugs and playing card tricks.
MARY WORTH: I thought we were moving to something different. There will be no less than one more month with these two……

MT P.S.: When Atlantic Portuguese man-o-war are in the water, the lifeguards here post warnings. The “season” here in Fla. is generally Oct. – Mar. with most sightings Nov. – Feb. The appearance of these dangerous jellyfish depends on wind, currents, etc. It does look like the jellyfish in the Mark Trail strip has the dangling stinging tentacles (if you look closely).

@Teh
A3G: It seems that Aunt Cathy, and by extension, Evan, have some agenda of their own and that Evan is not exactly what he presents himself to be.

Hi.. the phrase “clean your room” is good in spanish… about the “puppet junk”.. mmm well.. junk is “basura” and “basur-man” is not the best option but works xD; idk if “junk” can get another translate in this case…
Well.. the reason why jason have dark glasses is simple.. a kid always have a disaster in your room.. xD, alot of toys everywhere, clothes in the bed, floor etc etc.. when a mother “clean your room” you discover a new room hahaha.. is like this: http://themetapicture.com/pure-sorcery/

Mark Trail: I see Mark has on his red shirt again. He must not have too many colors.

MT JELLYFISH: It’s not really research, it’s first-hand experience. I’ve seen a lot of man-of-war jellyfish over the years here in the sub-tropics of So. Fla. Jack Elrod is right on with today’s panel 2, as October is the only month that the sea turtle and the man-of-war might both be in the waters off Miami & points south.

The English strip shown today plays on the words “cough” and “coughee” (coffee). I wonder how that will work in spanish.
