Unfortunately, that seems a key skill today. The 1990s sure changed things. .I miss the days when most employers actually could tell who the hard workers were and who the slackers were. Today most employers have extremely poor judge of character, or even worse, they hire people just as dishonorable as themselves. Then it’s one complaint after another about the quality of workers and it’s the fault of the employer for dissing every good candidate and instead looking for someone like themselves..Heck, I miss the days when HR was looking for people who could do the job well. In the 1990s it became common for women interviewers to judge candidates on whether they would date them or not. Made for some truly bad decisions on whom to hire. The schmoozers might be a fun date, but tend to be a lousy employee.
