College football (and basketball) coaches are typically the highest paid state employees in any state that has a strong NCAA athletic program. To be fair to them, they bring tons of additional revenue to their schools through TV contracts.

But no one can deny how absurd and immoral it looks on paper.

It’s good Embree got his money. Chances are he’ll never get another chance. Only one black football coach that has been fired has gotten a second chance. And today it was said his firing was racially motivated. Waiting to see some more on that.
