    It’s a little house. Out in the yard. Says “Wally” over the door.

    The guy in my life LIKES to take me to the opera. Even when it’s as boring as Boris Godunov, the people watching can be fun – we saw that on an opening night with everyone in their best. He wore his tux and I made my gown and we sat during intermission with our cocktails discussing the garb of others. It IS better on nights when we see a good opera.

    “Man of the House” = “House Mouse”

    @davanden

    That’s not what the strip implies. No-neck is allegedly “unmanly” for cowtowing to his wife’s wishes, not for going to an opera.

    @BRI-NO-MITE!!

    The tux was just for opening night. And it depends on your city as well (There may be lots of guys in jeans here in Phoenix) Not so many in Chicago’s Lyric or NY’s Met.

    They don’t have a dress code here. I see some in tuxes, a few guys in formal kilts, on one occasion a Marine in his dress blues. The Met’s website says they don’t have a dress code.
