The guy in my life LIKES to take me to the opera. Even when it’s as boring as Boris Godunov, the people watching can be fun – we saw that on an opening night with everyone in their best. He wore his tux and I made my gown and we sat during intermission with our cocktails discussing the garb of others. It IS better on nights when we see a good opera.
Always sad to see, even in cartoons, when a man is scared of his wife. Or when she is a tyrant. Glad I don’t live in a marriage like that. I have a wonderful wife, and she is respectful.
