They are acting like “Baby Geniuses” here. And Toggle still knows their language!

I want a poll about how many people wear their eyepatches to bed.

Depends upon what the patch is for. If it is to hold the eyelid down to prevent the eye from drying, then yes you do. I had to do this for about 3 months once.

Someone just needs to tell her that kids are programmable, and she’ll figure out the rest.

I’m not sure why, but this also seems to work with me and my nieces(when we babysit). My wife will be trying to get them to go down for a nap-with no success and I only have to tell them once(nicely).

Some nursing newborns seem to want all of mom’s interactions with them to involve feeding. Otherwise, they are unhappy. They adjust eventually, just as they adapt to the whole day vs night thing eventually. Of course, experiences can vary along these lines…

The genuine caring of people, showing respect for them goes a long way.
Works for babies, works for men….

Not triplets, the twins and the father. She is mad the twins listened to the father’ss request and that the father was successful where she failed.

I did what my father did for us: entertain us with stories until we were ready to sleep. Sometimes I included a little physics, chemistry, history, philosophy, et cetera. It helped them sleep and got them ready for the subjects.
(One English teacher referred to “the little know-it-all in fourth block” The other kids knew it was my eldest son. She griped about it in the teachers’ lounge and the other teachers backed my boy up, showing why he WAS right. The next day in class, she apologized and admitted he was right. Instead of being offended, we were amused.)

A teacher apologized? To a student?
Out in front of God and everybody?
Wow! Give that teacher a raise!
Seriously! I’m not being sarcastic, either.

Yes, my dual eyepatch (sleep mask) is to keep my eyeballs in at night . . . especially when I have a migraine and it’s a realistic fear that they might fall out!
