    Are we ever going to see Alix and hubby ,
    and see what happened? They were at
    her graduation ceremony when she
    went into labor, was on the ground
    needing help , and her husband and
    Dad could not find her. That is where
    they left her MONTHS ago, with no
    explanation. Someone said the writer
    was on vacation, has been old reruns
    ever since. Did Alex die? What happened
    to the babies? what happened to her
    husband?
    I know things happen in life, but someone
    needs to assume responsibility for this strip.

    As per comments passim, his week was supposed to be the return. However, last week Trudeau wrote to the newspapers that took the strip and said he was still busy with Alpha House for Amazon, and that he would only provide new Sunday strips for the time being. Scheduled return for daily strips is mid-November. He apologised to the papers for inconveniencing them, I’m not aware that he has apologised to his readers for letting them down too.

    Continuity complainers never seem to read the multitudinous explanations. Odd.

    @SUSAN NEWMAN

    Hi, Susan, I hope you have an easy and productive fast.
    .
    As I commented the last, there’s something wrong when we have the mindset that schools have to subsist on charity.
    .
    Why doesn’t someone start a website to support the military, and cut funding for that? After all, throwing money at a problem doesn’t solve it, as the cons like to tell us.

    @Kaffekup

    people do send donations to active military personnel, and orgs like Amvets, which I donate to, are there to make sure veterans get what they’re entitled to. Plenty of $ for bombs just not for people in the line of fire.

    @Eggman61

    Thanks, Eggman, and thanks for donating. I did think of organizations such as yours and the USO, but I definitely meant supporting military operations through charity. I’m sure the right wouldn’t think twice about ponying up for that (sarcasm font).

    I do wish that political commenters of all stripes would be gentlemanly (or ladyly) about it. It’s embarrassing to have someone of one’s own stripe to call names, etc.

    “with no explanation.”

    LOL!! I bet you have never read a comment in your life to say something this dumb. It has been in the comments almost everyday for months, certainly many times every week. No sense in repeating the reasons here since you probably won’t be reading this either. LOL Bugs would have a comment about you.

    I worked for a school district in California for ten years. Believe me they are fully funded they just waste most of it. It is sort of like giving a teenager an allowance, having him spend it all the first day on DVD’s and then complaining it’s your fault that he can’t buy lunch beccause your not giving him enough. Before you go on about teachers buying stuff for their class, ask any electrician, plumber or carpenter who buys their tools.

    I just read a rather insightful thought about conservatives. The point was; Conservatives are the way they are because they are so afraid of the future that they want to return to the past where things were known and therefore safer than the future which is filled with unknowns.
