This is one character I dislike. GT, IMO, is guilty of being divisive in this one. Yes, some states have gone overboard in their efforts to curb what they see as voter fraud. But, I believe that there should be some way of telling who is who at the polls. Perhaps not so draconian as some are trying but someone here without proper paperwork should not be allowed to vote. I know, my opinion here will set off a debate. Well, good.

No, this is from last year. I guess GT anticipated the Supreme Court decision regarding the Voting Rights Act and scheduled this rerun for this week.

No, this looks like another repeat. This was a few months before last year’s election.

Nice timing on this. Forward, into the past!

Voter fraud is statistically insignificant. I suspect that the real problem is the percentage of voters who vote for the “wrong” candidates and ballot measures.

Anyone know whether there are reliable stats comparing instances of voter fraud to instances of legit voters being denied the right to vote due to systematic, deliberate “demographic” profiling?

Ya know, I’m getting reeeeeally tired of these reruns. The last time we saw this strip moving forward, Alex was going into labor. (And I have to say, I didn’t like the illustrations—it looked like a bunch of pervs ogling an inebriated and vulnerable woman)

Your vacation should’ve been over two weeks ago, Mr. Trudeau! Get back to work.

I certainly hope that Mr. Trudeau makes a few improvements when he comes back, God willing. Yes, Doonesy and the gang have grown and changed in appearance and character several times over the years, but these days I swear they seem near death at times. I really hope that this strip doesn’t turn into another Funky Cancercancer.

For the umpteenth time – GT announced in advance that he is working on another project until Labor Day, so we will have reruns until then. Jeez, I live in another country that not only doesn’t HAVE Labor Day, it doesn’t even SPELL it that way, but I’ve managed to notice at least one of the four hundred and eighty-three times this has been explained since the reruns began…

Because I live on the other side of the pond, I only know what I saw here the first time this strip appeared and what I researched after reading it, but I do lean a bit towards John Pike’s view. The argument (here? or on The Daily Show?) that there had only been a handful of cases of voter fraud was, to me, an argument for MORE controls, because you can bet your life there have been more than a handful of times when voter fraud has actually happened…

And if that isn’t a hammer looking for a nail I don’t know what is.

So, what you’re saying is that if it ain’t broke, why send it out to the yo-yos to fix it!!!

You may have heard it on the Daily Show or wherever but it is not an “argument” it is fact. And well known at that. Actually, the only cases of voter fraud that have popped up in the last year were the shennanigans of the RNC and their paid shills, uh :“consultants”.

How come, in one Philadelphia district NOT ONE person voted non-democrat? Dang, they must be good…at handouts.

He’s old enough and rich enough to retire. I can accept a Monty’s vacation if he’ll keep writing for awhile longer.
