I am OK with Mr. Trudeau’s frequent vacations, as long as it keeps him from going Larson/Watterson on us.

Boopsie is acting like a mother.

So how many texts does she have?

Doing the math: Assuming a 30-days month and a 16-hours day (Sam, the growing girl she is, needs her hours of sleep, plus some time for other functions,) to do 17,000 texts Sam would have to average sending a text every two minutes, non-stop. I would think she would have to take a break occasionally just to recharge the texting devise she’s using.
    `
17,000 texts a month – I really don’t think anyone has that much of worth to say.

I’ve seen business people in The Philippines (mostly women) texting “blind” (not looking at phone) almost non-stop through business meetings etc. In my experience The Philippines is “text central” and the rate at which most people there can text is SCARY !!

Literacy made manual. Highly corralled, language simplified. Soon people will figure out that there’s only Yes, No, and Wow…and women will talk more and more like men.

After her drama queen act, my next question would be, “How are you going to pay this bill? Because I’m cutting off your cellphone privileges until it’s paid”
That might be what I’d say now; but, if cellphones had been around when my daughter was her age, I’d probably be about as milktoast as he is. Wimp!

I have teenagers, and texting is ubiquitous. However, many of those texts – and there are far more than one every two minutes – consist of “K” or “LOL” or “’sup?” and so on.

I agree with you. But if you glance at some of those Twit feeds out there, there are a LOT of people who think that they do.

Somebody sent me 2 texts on my cell phone; next phone bill there was a $1 extra charge. I had text removed from my cell phone account. Now it’s voice only.
