“15-day leave?” Military personnel also have to take leave on weekends, which only gives her 2 weeks off, not 3. Not a whole lot of time with travel involved.

reminds me of Claude Lelouche’s “And Now My Love”……about how many generations it takes to create the “love at first sight” moment. His protagonists criss-cross several times in their lives before the inevitability of their meeting. On an airplane.

    Maybe Mellissa will kill him.

Huh? The freedom bird goes from Kabul to KC? Isn’t that a long-way (pork for contractors) route?

Oh no, this can’t be good. I’d really hate to see these two pushed together. I’m thinking that if they do have any contact, Melissa may just end up beating the snot out of him. Might even change Jeff for the better. Is that even possible?

These two can’t possibly happen, which makes it inevitable.

Nice… makes it look like we’ve gotten away from the Jeff arc, but then…

BTW, I know this is just a comic strip, but I’ve been wondering what Jeff realistically could have done to avoid the screw-up with the $50 million. It doesn’t seem like anyone could have known in advance that he was going to be giving $$$ to that guy, so how could he have anticipated someone intercepting him? Thoughts?

Isn’t Jeff the one who shot down Melissa’s helicopter or something? Or she had to repair it on a steep slope, under enemy fire, or something?

    plus4, it was a setup???

Typical liberals ready to to bad mouth people based on a cartoon. The planes from afganistan to the US go through Germany or Ireland. If this is going to KC it taking something there and they are hitching rides rather than wait for a more direct route. So it is not “more pork for the contractors”.

Potrzebie,, More than likely that is where she will spend her leave, relaxing, taking hot baths and eating some good food before enjoying some entertainment sans alcohol.

fbjsr – WHAT? Your comment is so funny! I want to be mad at you, but it’s so idiotic I can’t be.

summerdog – one can dream. But I don’t see GT allowing any character to be the snot out of any other character. But clearly we are all rooting FOR Melissa – I wish there were a way for her to be involved with Joanie that didn’t involve Jeff. Maybe I mean the old Joanie – the one we’ve got now isn’t so interesting. Actually, Melissa has character Joanie never did.

If she really wants alcohol in the Gulf it’s a short hop to Bahrain or the UAE.
