Toggle has found his true love; that may be the best rehab there is!

This is the kind of moment we remember in 30, 40, 50 years and say yeah, we already knew our now back then.

I remember the day I graduated from MIT, as well, though it was a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. (Well, 1969 in Cambridge.) Unfortunately, I didn’t end up with the young woman who came to my graduation & commissioning (Air Force).

I never understood Alex’s attraction for Toggle. Maybe it’s because he’s the only boy who was ever attracted to her. OF course, it could be something as simple doing her part for her country. It must give her a warm feeling doing something patriotic.

Let us take a moment to remember all the young men (and more than a few young women, as well, i wouldn’t be surprised to find) who come back from our various wars, many in worse shape than Toggle … even if they don’t show physical wounds.

Like the guy in BD’s group, who’s late for the session because he had to figure out a route that didn’t pass under any bridges…

We just celebrated Memorial Day … and Veterans’ Day is a while off.

But we need to remember our soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines - those serving now, the veterans … and those who paid the final price - every day, not just on two days out of the year.

I am still utterly opposed to the war in Iraq and Afghanistan (slightly less so to the Afghan war, but still opposed to it) … but i am 100% behind the men and women we have over there.

My son-in-law came home in one piece to meet his four-month-old daughter three years ago … but we spent a scary year sweating it out till he did.

Do we buy it? Lock, stock, and barrel, baby!

Fairpoprtfan2, right on! The US has no business nation building anywhere in the world.

I might be willing to go help a people who have rebelled against an oppressive government, and are asking for help, but let them first prove their desire for independence and\or freedom.

Vietnam should have taught us well, but, sigh, no one ever seems to learn from history, thus letting history repeat itself.

I honestly feel that the Toggle/Alex strips are some of the best work Trudeau’s ever done. There’s a certain idealism to them that offsets some of his more cynical stuff, and I find it very refreshing.

That’s our Mike for ya! Don’t you just love how he’s handling this situation. He’s aleadry bought it… He just wants to make sure his wife is OK with it, too.

Toggle will make a great son-in-law. He’s smart, polite, hard-working…

    …and - best of all - he’s NOT ZIPPER!!!

So much improved triage and field work, so many coming home from stuff that would have killed them a couple wars ago. One of the “good” things that developed from Nam.

My youngest is engaged to a guy with hearing loss from this Iraq war who would go back in a minute if they’d take him. Too many friends still at risk. Toggle seems the same way.
