"Garry Trudeau is the premier American social and political satirist of his time." -Newsweek Doonesbury has managed to be articulate, abrasive, political, compassionate, misunderstood, misprinted, and outrageous - but one thing it's never been is complacent. Garry Trudeau's creation has chronicled American history and culture in a parallel universe. And through it all, Doonesbury has always been honest, entertaining, and thought-provoking.

I used to be amused. Now I’m just disgusted.

The fault was in the Nobel selection committee. They were so anxious to thumb their noses at Bush (deservedly), that they ignored Obama’s own language on war. He has said from the beginning that he opposed Iraq but not Afghanistan. It really bugs me that people seem so shocked.

The backlash against Obama is growing and is not going to be pretty. After WWI the German people were so trampled and belittled that they sought change at any cost–in their case this mean Hitler and his conservative hate message. Somewhere in America there is an unknown hyper-conservative republican simply drooling at the possibilities…

Whatever Barack Obama may be, he’s no Paul Von Hindenburgh.

Nobody thought that Hitler was Hitler in the beginning either…and a people that–even a small percentage of which–would give Palin serious consideration as president is ripe for the picking. How many people listen to AM talk radio???

Your right there is a lot of nut jobs on am radio. Isn’t that were Al Franken had his show?

Look, Hitler truly wasn’t a liberal, but he wasn’t a socialist either. Remember he sent troops and aid to Franco in Spain to fight the socialists. The socialists and communists were some of his biggest enemies. So, what was he? OH, a conservative?

Hitler was a fascist, like his pals Mussolini and Franco. Ol’ Benny Il Duce defined fascism as “corporatism,” where the state and the corporation become one, and the nation is run primarily for the benefit of its businesses (particularly those related to the war business). When Ike warned us about the “military-industrial complex,” he was using a more politically correct term for fascism. It appears we failed to heed his warning, and we are now in two wars whose primary purpose seems to be helping the oil industry and the arms industry.
As for Obama being a “socialist,” don’t make me laugh any harder, I’ll blow an O-ring. Nixon was more of a socialist than Obama. Like every other politician from the Great State of Ill-Annoy, Mr. Obama’s bought and paid for by a wide array of Big Businesses: the Wall Street financial boys (Gold Sacks gave him a huge donation, and it’s shown a fine return on investment), the health insurance industry, the defense industry… and he’s paying them back handily. Just like every president since at least Reagan, Obama’s just another tool of the corporatocracy.

Hitler was a socialist? Bwahahahahahahahaha! Is that why he was bitter enemy of the Soviet Union?
Go read about Fascism vs Communism. They are polar opposites.
Obama has been called a fascist and Socialist at the same time. Which is it, because it can’t be both.
With all this comparison between Hitler and Obama, our American youth will soon think we went to war against Germany because of Hitler’s health care policies.

Sorrry to upset you but Hitler was not a conservitive. He was a socialist the same as Obama. As far as the hate speach, ever listen to reverend Wright?
Sorry, but Obama is no socialist. He’s continued the Wall St. bailout and gave health care reform to congress, which is a proxy for the health insurance industry. And while Hitler certainly was a socialist, he was by no means a progressive liberal that is implied by the right when talking socialism.
