Bill Clinton: Come on in, Al... Al Gore: Thank you, sir. Bill Clinton: Try to relax. Al Gore: How do I do that? Could you give me some tips? Bill Clinton: Al, this is how I see it: your election validates my administration. Al Gore: Yes, sir. Unfortunately, your administration undermines my electability. Bill Clinton: So what we need is more distance. Al Gore: Better for me. Bill Clinton: Better for history. Al Gore: Better for both of us. Bill Clinton: So I need to keep criticizing your political skills, calling you boring and uninspired. Al Gore: And I need to keep talking about restoring dignity and morality to the oval office. Bill Clinton: To which I'll take offense, accusing you of contemptible disloyalty and opportunism! Al Gore: Which I'll find laughable, coming from someone for whom betrayal and lying are second nature! Bill Clinton: Okay, then. Sounds like a plan. Al Gore: Works for me, sir.
