Joanie: Get out! Starr subpoenaed you? Rick: I'm due to appear tomorrow... Joanie: Why on Earth would he want to subpoena a reporter? Rick: Well, he's quite clear about that..."To answer questions as to whether you willfully and wantonly abetted a White House conspiracy to hurt the feelings of the honorable Kenneth W. Starr." Joanie: Oh, dear... Rick: As you can imagine, I'm just sick about this.
While Starr never actually subpoenaed reporters, he did subpoena records from anyone in the White House who talked to reporters, esp. if they were critical of him.
