Babies and puppies are both quite cute, but underneath the soft, cuddly exteriors lie the fearsome hearts of competitors. Well, not really. When a new baby joins the household, Sophie the dog is initially irritated, but eventually comes to see the baby, Doug, as the asset he is: a better way to get snacks. Though the baby is still hogging precious attention, and has a tendency to pull ears and be a general nuisance, a begrudging friendship forms between the two rivals. Watch the mischief unfold in Brian Anderson’s Dog Eat Doug.

My old kittens (Echo & Flash) hid in the top drawer of our desk (about 5 inches deep). We hunted for over 2 hours for these boyz. In desperation, I opened that drawer and up popped 2 little furry heads.

I’d worry about the puppy being in a closed drawer for any length of time! (for breathing, not other biological issues)

Dresser Drawers are FAR from air-tight. She could take a nap in there with NO problem.
There’s PLENTY of space around the Sides and Back for air to circulate. That’s why your clothes don’t smell “fusty” when you take them out, even when they’ve been “in there” since LAST Summer.

Brian (and Doctor Toon & JK1) – you might enjoy this book. I find it mostly on-target.

N OT AT ALL. Read the description of this cartoon apparently written by the author. It’s on the right side entitled “About Dog Eat Doug.”

And the same author has added numerous characters without any problems. Cats are pets too.
