    I’m just picturing Joy in a black vinyl bomber jacket over a pink tank top with coordinating Hawaiian print shorts….

    She’d be the star of the WalMart calendar…..

    Instead of a heart-breaker, an eye-breaker.

    Are they confusing “TanK” with “Barrel” for top styles?

    Actually Burl is on top of the issue today, but Joy and Verl, eech – vinyl bomber jackets – $9.50 tank and short sets. I am surprised you can get tank size tarp covers, I mean tops, for under $10, that is a lot of material.

    Verla has a nice logo shirt today, and Burl seems extra portly.

    Women with that bulk and no shape are better off just buying quantity. Since nothing will be becoming in any case. I can’t remember ever spending over $100 on a blouse. I only spend big bucks on garments that I can’t just make for myself.

    I can remember spending 2-300 on a skirt suit, but I’ve also made a few of my own (takes a lot more tailoring than an evening dress, though). And I DO shop mostly sales and places like Marshalls or Norstrom’s Rack, because I’m thrify (not cheap).

    @DAZZ

    Same reason Burl and Joy shop Dollar Dump – thrifty!
    I am also thrifty, but by my definition of that is Kohl’s, cheap is Walmart, and skinflint or tightwad is Dollar Dump or other stores with Dollar in the name.

    Stores with ‘dollar’ in their name sound pricey.
    It’s the 5 and 10 for me.

    Usually the places they go feature a displayed name: I wonder what this place is called?

    I’m surprised they’re even LOOKING at such pricey stuff. Well, I guess it’s back to Omar the Tentmaker for that lot.
