Denny’s will be open. Just pony up to pay for new taxes but it’s better to be alive and broke than dead.

New taxes at Denny’s?! Is that at an American Denny’s because I have not heard anything up here in Canada about Denny’s changing the amount of tax you pay for a meal.

A lot of the food chains, such as Papa John’s, are cutting employees to under 30 hours to avoid paying them health care.
Denny’s isn’t one of them, but one Denny’s franchisee is adding an Obamacare surcharge to pay for providing his employees health care. Except that he is still cutting their hours to under 30, and he won’t use the money he’s collecting for their health care to provide it to them. He says he’ll use it to pay the penalties he expects for not providing the health care he’s collecting the money for. So it’s not that he can’t afford it, he just wants to be mean to Obama by punishing anyone but Obama.
