Try opening with a joke, Horace; maybe one about a priest and a rabbi in a bar.

It seems Horace is not the only one who’s suffering from writer’s block. Someone named “Sam” might be having it too! :) Nice, very Samson-like detail.

Oh Horace, Oh Horace, you have no complaint
You are what you are and you ain’t what you ain’t
So listen up Buster, and listen up good
Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood.

Horace! she’s been dead for years. The replacement will only advise counseling.

I thought this was a somewhat late tribute to the late Pauline Philips.

I’m sure not having opposable thumbs isn’t helping either.

It was a dark and stormy night and they all rode away on a horse.

Actually, the original Dear Abby passed away January 16, 2013. Ann Landers passed away June 22, 2002. Pauline’s daughter now runs the Dear Abby column. I am of the opinion that my local paper should have kept the Dear Abby column, but too many people objected to Pauline’s daughter doing it even though she had been collaborating with her mother before she had to stop. It wasn’t really that different. I don’t like the one my paper chose to replace Dear Abby.
