Its the American public who will get the ax from the politicians.
Welcome to sequester austerity.

Sure don’t know why you ‘Mericans don’t work together to fix your problems.
Just too much fun fighting amongst yourselves, I guess.

I wish the Republicans could honestly look as clueless as represented in the cartoon, but the debates that brought us to this point were bipartisan in their bad will and lack of longsightedness.
Party first, nation second.
Dr. Canuck is more right than people wish to admit.
Sadly,

Following the sequester deal, John Boehner said “When you look at this final agreement that we came to with the White House, I got 98 percent of what I wanted. I’m pretty happy.”
The final vote count was 269-161 – with 174 Republicans in favor. Speaker Boehner, Rep. Cantor and Rep. Ryan all voted yes.
But don’t let facts slow you down.

And Boehner got 98% of what he wanted in that deal.

Except that Obama said he would veto a bill that didn’t have a sequester in it. Whoops. Your bias is showing.

More people posting here should have studied when they took Econ 101. When the sequester fully and completely kicks in it will cut 3 cents on every dollar we spend. Yes, just 3 cents. With the billions we waste that amount can be found in petty cash. This year on a $3.5T budget we would cut $85B.
The world will not end, no vital services need be cut one penny but Obama is pulling all the strings on his liberal puppets who think this is it, no more social security, medicare, medicaid etc all because of 3 cents.

He’s telling the truth. And he’s got a hatchet in his hand because he’s already made lot of cuts.

@Chillbilly
Therefore if you don’t think that Clarence Thomas is the greatest Supreme Court Justice ever you are by definition a racist. Will you admit it?

National Review is your source for facts? Might’s well be Breightbart.com or Fox News.
-
No vital services will be cut? tell that to the people who die as a result of vital service cuts, or the many thousands who are laid off. “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs”?

You want your confirmation? You’ll get it, real soon.

@Libertarian1
" The world will not end, no vital services need be cut one penny but Obama is pulling all the strings…"
.
Obama is pulling the strings? He can’t do anything without Congress. Why not try Googling “Sequestration Impact”? Sequestration will be deeply destructive to national security, domestic investments, and core government functions. With the exception of military personnel accounts, the Administration has zero influence on which programs to exempt or affect. Obama has twice submitted proposals to cut more than $4T in spending, but Members of Congress (ahem – Republicans) are focused solely on spending cuts that exempt the military. And they threaten this nation if they don’t get your way.

It’s your right wing propganda organs (like Fox News and The National Review) that suckles useful idiots
