   Although many questions arise if the drones are used domestically, I can’t remember any article of the Constitution that would prohibit their use in a foreign conflict.

   The issue in question, I believe, is Article 3, Section 3 of the Constitution, which strictly defines “Treason”; states the proof necessary for conviction; and restricts to Congress the determination of the punishment.

   Yes, as Rachel Maddow pointed out, there’s nothing different about using drones than using manned aircraft, it’s the same Hellfire missiles. What makes it potentially unconstitutional is the fact that we’re killing people, outside of a declared war zone, without trial. So this cartoonist missed the point, although there is a point to be made.

    Given the number of “terrorists” coming from around the world, will SEALs now have to ask for passports to avoid shooting “Americans” in the field?

    
    As to domestic use of drones, it’s primarily been the “conservatives”, like along the borders, calling for increased use of drones.
