    No, those filibusters couldn’t have happened by themselves! Not to mention the 100s of anti-abortion and anti-contraceptive laws, and the 32 repeals of health care reform. Too bad that didn’t leave time for a jobs bill, an agriculture bill, or a budget…

    Actually 8.3% is a lot better than the 15-20% we’d have if the auto industry tanked. And yes, congress was so busy with other important stuff.

    Sadly Ahab, they’ve NOT been asleep, rather they’ve spent every waking moment building barricades to any effort at recovery, or actual progress. All their bills and riders calling for MORE deregulation that got us INTO this mess, is NOT progress or “sleeping” (brain-dead, but not asleep)
